SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

Alongside the tall-ship repair shop, built in tandem with our Ocean Surface Centre, we are keen to be active in engineering, filming and researching. The workshop built alongside the OSC, will allow us to expand the optical filming capabilities that the venue has. A regular installation at the venue will be the ability to livestream plankton samples, through our optical bench and digital screen.

HISTORY OF FILMING INNOVATION

The team has a history of innovating in the filming industry, holding a number of technical awards in the area. Through experience, and existing contacts we are keen to keep expanding the filming side of the OSC. In doing so growing our archive even further...

We are already in talks with a number of individuals and institutes on how the filming capabilities at the OSC can be best utilised and shared amongst our network of cameraman, filmmakers and scientists.
