Drones will play an important role in the active side and functioning of the Ocean Surface Centre. On top of some of the incredible imagery we have collected from Charlestown, the team is already practicing and planning 3D surveying, sampling and mapping so as to ensure the OSC is a vigorously active and function hub of ocean activity...

RESEARCH BASED

Through a number of projects, including collaboration with the 'Up and Under' project, drones will carry out active research at Charlestown on regular, consistent and pre-planned routes.

Due to our unique access to the Harbour and the surrounding coastline, we can monitor coastal erosion, trends in ocean activity and any local wildlife. Any appropriate material can guide and advise the displays that make up the Ocean Surface Centre venue, meaning that our exhibit can be tailored to the happenings right outside our door.
